Terms & Conditions

·The dog lady will not carry out any booking without a consultation, consent forms and these signed terms. This is to be able to comply with our insurance requirements.

·Full payment is required in advance of any appointment, a minimum deposit of 50% is required at time of booking for holiday visits/pet sitting.

·The Client agrees to provide keys / arrange for keys to be available for The Dog Lady for the dog walking/ pet sitting appointment.

·The Client authorises The Dog Lady to obtain any emergency veterinary care that may be necessary during the time spent with their pet. Every effort will be made to contact the owner prior to obtaining emergency care. The client accepts responsibility for any charges related to this emergency care if it does not fall within the terms of the business insurance (please see insurance exclusions). The Client also authorises The Dog Lady to utilise an alternative veterinarian in the event their regular veterinarian is unavailable.

·The Client agrees to reimburse The Dog Lady for any additional fees for providing emergency care, as well as any expenses incurred for unexpected visits, transportation, housing, food, or supplies.

·The Client will ensure their dog is up to date with vaccinations, flea/tick treatments and de-wormers.

·The Client will be responsible for any medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to the pet sitter by the pet.

·The Client agrees to notify The Dog Lady of any concerns/complaints within 24 hours of any appointments.

·The Client will provide a towel incase of dirty walks - The Dog Lady will make every effort to return their dog in a clean manner given time restrictions.

·Clients must give a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel any appointments or the full amount will be collected.

·Each Dog Lady has insurance to walk up to six dogs at a time. Most of the time your dog will be walked with four other friendly dogs unless a solo walk is booked - in which case it will just be your dog/s.

·The Dog Lady reserves the right to cancel future bookings if the dog does not respond well to the walker or other dogs in or out of their care.

·The Dog Lady agrees to provide the services stated in this agreement in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against The Dog Lady, its employees or assigns, except those arising from negligence of the pet sitter.

·The Dog Lady accepts no responsibility for security of the premises or loss if other individuals have access to the home during the term of this agreement. During all assignments pet care will only be undertaken by The Dog Lady owner or employees, unless prearranged with client.

·The Dog Lady will not let any dog off his/her lead unless express owner consent has been given.

·The Dog Lady is not responsible for damage incurred by pet escaping because of a faulty leash/collar or a collar that is not properly fitting.

·The Dog Lady will not be liable for the injury, disappearance, death, or fines of any pet with unsupervised access to the outdoors.

· It is expressly understood that The Dog Lady shall not be held responsible for any damage to client’s property, or that of others, caused by client’s pets during the period in which they are in its care. Client has advised The Dog Lady of all situations, which will relieve it of liability for damage.

·This agreement is valid for all future visits until a new agreement is signed. The Dog Lady reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time, at its sole discretion; likewise, client may terminate this agreement at any time.

·The Dog Lady agrees to love and care for your pet whilst you are absent.

Insurance Exclusions:

·Breeding activities

· Anything that would normally be covered by vaccinations

· Pre-existing conditions


I confirm the information provided is true and correct to the best of my knowledge.


I agree to abide by The Dog Lady terms & conditions and accept liability for my dogs behaviour. (it is advised that you have public liability cover for your dog, if they are insured this is usually included so please check your policy, if not you can obtain this for a small annual fee from the Dogs Trust. We do have public liability insurance if it is relating to our actions, however, it is recommended that owners also have this to cover all sides.


I understand this form also acts as permission to hold a set of keys to collect my dog and I have provided these willingly. I understand I can request these back at any time.
