Terms & Conditions

This contract is made between Kelly Parr - The Dog Lady and I (the Client)

  1. I (the Client) authorise The Dog Lady to provide and perform pet care services as agreed and in signing this contract I understand and accept these terms and conditions.

  2. If the pet(s) becomes ill or is injured while under the care of the Provider, I authorise for my pet(s), to be taken to my registered Veterinarian (or one who is available) if this is needed in the Provider’s best judgement. I authorise the Provider to approve any emergency treatment recommended by the Veterinarian and I agree to pay in full to the Provider any charges incurred.  I am responsible for any bills (transportation, treatment and expense) whilst my pet(s) is in the care of the Provider.

  3. I understand it is my responsibility to ensure that adequate pet insurance is in place for my pet(s).

  4. I will provide all my pet(s) food, bowls, water, lead, collar or harness, coat, muzzle, toys and any other items relating to the care of my pet(s) for the duration of the agreed contract of care.

  5. Pet care services will be provided for the period and rate agreed and I agree to make payment in full for these services to the Provider in advance by either cash, debit card or bank transfer.

  6. I agree to reimburse the Provider any additional costs incurred in tending to emergency or veterinary care as well as any expenses incurred for any other unexpected home, food or other requirements.

  7. I expressly waive and relinquish any and all claims against The Dog Lady and it is understood and agreed that the Provider will not be held responsible for any damage to the Client’s property, or that of others, caused by the Client’s pet(s) during the period in which they are in her care.

  8. I agree to notify the Provider of any illness, injury or behavioural problems pertained to my pet(s) during the time this contract is in place.  I understand that the Provider reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time if the nature of the illness, injury or behavioural issue cannot be catered for.

  9. I will ensure that my pet(s) has had any necessary vaccinations and boosters and that regular treatment for fleas and worms is given.   I will not hold the Provider responsible for any flea or worm infestations that I notice nor for any illness or diseases that occur.

  10. If I need to cancel any pet services arranged, I understand that I must give at least 48 hours’ notice otherwise I will be liable for the full cost of the service.

  11. I authorise this contract to be valid approval for services provided by The Dog Lady and to permit acceptance of my telephone and email reservations and allow her to enter my premises without any additional signed contracts or written authorisations. I give my permission for The Dog Lady to contact me via text SMS, phone or email to discuss any bookings of services and understand my details will not be shared to any third parties without my consent.

  12. I will either ensure that access is given to the Provider to collect the Dog from the agreed address at the agreed times or give the Provider a key to the place where the Dog is kept. The Provider will use the key to collect and return the Dog and for no other purpose and will keep it safe, not let anyone else have it, not copy it and will return it to the Client on demand.

  13. I agree to authorize the Provider to handle any emergencies that may arise. The Provider will make every effort to contact the Client; however, the Client gives authority to the Provider to act in the animal’s best interest.

  14. I give permission for my pet(s) to be photographed occasionally for use on the Provider’s website and Facebook Page and for identification purposes in the event of an emergency.

  15. The dog lady will not carry out any booking without a consultation, consent forms and these signed terms.

  16. Full payment is required in advance of any appointment, a minimum deposit of 50% is required at time of booking.

  17. I agree to reimburse The Dog Lady for any additional fees for providing emergency care, as well as any expenses incurred for unexpected visits, transportation, housing, food, or supplies.

  18. I will be responsible for any medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to the pet sitter by the pet.

  19. I agree to notify The Dog Lady of any concerns/complaints within 24 hours of any appointments.

  20. Muddy dogs are often happy dogs. The Client will provide a towel in case of dirty walks - The Dog Lady will make every effort to return their dog in a clean manner given time restrictions.

  21. The Dog Lady has insurance to walk up to six dogs at a time. Most of the time your dog will be walked with two other friendly dogs unless a solo walk is booked - in which case it will just be your dog/s.

  22. The Dog Lady reserves the right to cancel future bookings if the dog does not respond well to the walker or other dogs in or out of their care.

  23. The Dog Lady agrees to provide the services stated in this agreement in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the Client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against The Dog Lady, its employees or assigns, except those arising from negligence of the pet sitter.

  24. The Dog Lady accepts no responsibility for security of the premises or loss if other individuals have access to the home during the term of this agreement. During all assignments pet care will only be undertaken by The Dog Lady owner or employees, unless prearranged with Client.

  25. The Dog Lady will not let any dog off his/her lead unless express owner consent has been given.

  26. The Dog Lady is not responsible for damage incurred by pet escaping because of a faulty leash/collar or a collar that is not properly fitting.

  27. All dogs must be microchipped and be wearing a dog tag when walked. The dog tag must include the owners details including a phone number. This is to comply with the law and to ensure if we meet a warden we are not fined. Any fine incurred will be passed on to the owners.

  28. The Dog Lady will not be liable for the injury, disappearance, death, or fines of any pet with unsupervised access to the outdoors.

  29. It is expressly understood that The Dog Lady shall not be held responsible for any damage to Client’s property, or that of others, caused by Client’s pets during the period in which they are in its care.

  30. This agreement is valid for all future visits until a new agreement is signed. The Dog Lady reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time, at its sole discretion; likewise, Client may terminate this agreement at any time.

  31. Pet Taxi - We hold full insurance for transporting your valuable animals and we are happy to act as a chaperone to your pet if required. If required to take to vets/groomers on your behalf please ensure payment is arranged.

  32. The Dog Lady agrees to love and care for your pet/s whilst you are absent.
